Brain Resources (P-T)

The brain is the most complex part of the human body, and it is vulnerable to some of the most complex impairments to humans both neurologically and mentally.

Twenty million Americans and 16% of households are experiencing some form of brain disease or neurological condition, and 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness according to the National Alliance on Mental Health. Often times, neurological and mental illness overlap. It is beneficial to understand all aspects of brain health to create a plan.

Learning about a brain impairment will empower you to take the next steps forward whether it is for yourself or for a loved one. Each of the brain resources below also include caregiver tips to help loved ones and family members better understand and relate.
