Advancing Treatment Options for PTSD

In December of 2020, United Brain Association donated $6,000 to Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry, in support of research and treatment of PTSD by Ilan Harpaz-Rotem, Ph.D., ABPP. The funds were applied to the general research budget and were used to support Ketamine as a PTSD therapeutic.

Dr. Harpaz-Rotem is an Associate Professor at Yale Department of Psychiatry. He is a clinical psychologist who, for many years, has conducted research and provided treatment to individuals exposed to trauma. Dr. Harpaz-Rotem serves as an investigator at the National Center for PTSD, and he also directs the evaluation of VA PTSD treatment programs at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Northeast Program Evaluation Center, and the VA Central Office.
