In Honor of Bruce Willis

On February 16, 2023, action film star Bruce Willis’ family announced he has been diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia, also known as FTD.   In late March 2022, it was revealed that Bruce had joined the ranks of those affected by aphasia, a neurological disorder affecting the ability to communicate using language.   Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) refers to brain disorders that cause behavior, personality, and language impairments. FTD differs from many other types of dementia in that it most often occurs in middle-aged patients. The average age of diagnosis of the disorder is 60, and it often affects people in their 50s or even younger.   At this time, there is no cure. Please donate to the United Brain Association’s fundraiser in honor of Bruce Willis. Your donation will support dementia research in search of treatments and cures.
